      The exhaust tone of the new F10 M5 is a major disappointment and an area routinely criticized on the new car. Especially with BMW feeling they need to pipe in synthetic engine noise to make up for the weak stock exhaust tone. In comes Akrapovic with their exhaust system to remedy this weak point and their exhaust most definitely improves the exhaust sound. Not only does the exhaust give the car the sharper tone it so desperately warrants it also saves weight and adds power.

      The exhaust provides 10 horses at 5,950 rpm. It also saves 27.1 pounds from the car (and the M5 could use some weight loss). We would expect more of a gain but that will mostly come from deleting the cats and in the downpipes.

      Retail pricing is $7,825. Definitely not cheap but Akrapovic is regarded as one of the best in the business and the exhaust is full titanium.

        So is there a possibility to turn off the artificial engine noise, since with this exhaust you clearly won't be needing it.

        Yes, you can disable it.

        Full titanium. I wouldn't buy it that is for sure.

        8k for 10hp.. Really.. Someone needs to call these guys are see if they are on METH*** Do they know what you can do with 8k in US. WOW...

        They make great exhausts for Bikes and at a somewhat reasonable price, but this is just way out of line.

        The akra evo i had on my M3 was the best exhaust I had on the car (i did TTS, AA) and ever heard from anyone else's car. It was def worth the premium over other systems

        but at least that provided a good power bumper and was much cheaper than this one
