• A Powerchip tuned 2006 E60 M5 takes on an Evolve tuned 2007 E60 M5 - Result is not pretty

      These are the videos we like to see, comparing the same cars with different mods. In this case the camera car has an Evolve Stage I ECU tune, RPI scoops, RPI pulley, RPI block off plates, and an Eisenmann muffler. The other M5 (2006) is running a Powerchip tune which used to be one of the best tunes for these cars but Powerchip is pretty much on life support (if not dead entirely) and is living off their past name and tunes which have not evolved as the Evolve tune has (pun intended).

      In addition to the Powerchip tune the 2006 M5 has a full BBI exhaust, RPI scoops, and RPI block off plates. It is surprising the Evolve car pulls this strongly when it does not even have a full exhaust.

      Both M5's are S6 with DSC off and P500S mode. The AC is off in both cars and each has 1 passenger. Camera car has slightly more fuel. Enjoy the video below.

        Stroker needs to delete his primary cats/get headers, thats whats sucking up his power IMO. Its a fast car though north of 150mph.
        That explains a lot. I bet it's a beast as it sits now though.. Still the price for just the parts is ridiculous. I'd rather buy an entire car than the parts for the kit. Haha

        For the performance I saw 40k to spend on a motor is a lot but again if you want to pull like a rocketship 150+ only way to go.

        What a coincidence though, @Imran@Evolve and I were exchanging emails today and were talking about how their header and tune combination for the S85B50 is same power level as the Dinan Stroker, just with less torque.

        Not at all.

        Guy seems to be really happy switching from ESS to Evolve. Wish we had some dyno graphs to compare.

        I was discussing the exact same thing yesterday with a buddy. The price to hp ratio as well is nuts, another reason I love what Evolve as been doing.

        ESS was a great tune as well but it only had top end power, nothing in the midrange (for me anyways or from what I felt). Evolve has done a great job in developing midrange power via the tune for the S85, something it really needs. Keep you guys updated once I get those Tubular headers on my car.

        Powerchip is still in business? After everything that has gone not their way (innumerable race vids, cancelled dyno shootouts with lame excuses, etc?). Where do they get any money/business?
