      Audi announced US pricing for the upcoming 2013 RS5 starting at $68,900. Much higher base price than an M3 but honestly not terrible considering with options out the door it will be similar and also that the UK pricing is 58,750 British Pounds which works out to $91,044 at current exchange rates. The RS5 will be worth the price considering it will be far more rare than the M3. It will also offer much fresher styling as well as a high revving V8, a dual clutch transmission, and all wheel drive. Check out the order guide and pictures below.

        I think the wheels are sick but there is an option for different wheels.

        They look too much like late 90s milli miglia wheels...prob not what the design guys where shooting for...

        Just guessing, but the US won't get those seats, will they? We didn't get the nicer seats with the Euro-spec RS4 or the flat-bottom steering wheel.

        The F32/82 M4 better kick this thing's ass in the areas of weight. A V8 and AWD should have this at least 400lbs heavier than a V/I6 RWD M car. With the same HP and the M (presumably) making more torque thanks to turbos, this match-up should be quite interesting.

        The M4 will be much lighter and trounce this thing.

        Still really like this car though. If I was doing it again I'd be tempted to choose it.

        What about next gen RS5 and C63? The M4 will have have some big trouble if those cars get TTV8's.

        M4 will have major trouble with the next C63.

        I agree, especially if BMW continues to lose the plot with their M car philosophy.

        Living at altitude, I really need a car with forced induction to regain some HP due to the thin air. Had the current S5 been available with the supercharged V6 that the S4 gets, I likely would have had that instead of my E92. Once the other offerings have their turbo/FI versions available, it will be quite tempting to jump over. This RS5 is a rolling orgasm...

        I live west of Colorado Springs. My home is at 9400ft ASL. Lowest I get on a regular basis is ~6500ft ASL. General rule is that NA cars lose 3% hp for every 1,000ft of elevation, and FI cars lose only 1% (depends on turbine efficiency, etc). So that 450hp Audi only has 324hp at my house. If it had a turbo/supercharger, keeping the same 450hp, it would have ~410.

        This is one of the reasons I drive a 335 instead of an M3.

        Makes complete sense to me. You could get a supercharged M3... just messing.
