BMW drivers Bruno Spengler and Augusto Farfas did well in the team relay beating the Audi team they were against until miscommunication on the driver exchange ruined their chances. Mercedes ended up taking the team relay victory and their two teams finished in 1st and 3rd. They could have finished in 1st and 2nd had regulations not permitted the same manufacturer to have two teams in the relay final.
In order to race in the team relay the top 4 fastest drivers are chosen. Each teams drivers must compete against one another to determine who will participate. The top four advance making two teams of two. The video below shows BMW drivers Bruno Spengler and Dick Werner going head to head for a chance to compete in the relay.
DTM has something very interesting on their hands with the stadium competition and we are hoping a similar event makes it to the USA when DTM comes over. Check out the video below.
