Renntech sets new World's Fastest M157 record running 10.7@130 in their 2012 CLS63 AMG

Renntech continues to keep raising the bar with the AMG M157 twin turbo V8. The first run in the
10's on this platform was a 10.9@129 earlier in January of this year. After that they were the first to break 130 miles per hour through the traps on the platform running
10.9@131 in March. This run sets a new quickest record at 10.79 although the trap speed record is still 131. In better conditions (this took place at PBIR in 85-90 degree weather 2000+ Density Altitude) we expect the trap record to fall fairly easily.
Modifications to the CLS are Renntech software, larger heat exchanger, upgraded intercooler pump, limited slip diff, downpipes, high flow cats, and drag radials. The car does not have any weight reduction and is still on the stock turbos as well as airbox which are the next changes coming.
Very impressive work as usual from Renntech.
