      Congratulations to Mercedes DTM driver Gary Paffett for taking the win at Brands Hatch, maintaining and extending his first place lead in the driver standings. Audi, BMW, and Mercedes all got on the podium with BMW driver Burno Spengler finishing and second and Audi's Mike Rockenfeller finishing in 3rd place. The next race will be taking place on the Red Bull Ring in thirteen days.

      The Mercedes Bank AMG team is currently in first place in the overall standings with 88 points. BMW Team-Schnitzer is tied for second place with Audi Team Abt Sportsline with 43 points each.

        Nice and very tight race on this small circuit! But overtaking proved to be very difficult due to the lack of straight lines. It was misfortunate that Tomczyk missed Q4 and a possible better position in the starting grid. He definitely had the pace to keep up with Paffett. Hopefully he'll have better luck next time.
