Congratulations to Saad Racing and Pro-EFI for a record setting run at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Dragstrip. This is a difficult track to have record settings runs at due to the desert climate but the car was able to run an impressive 10.56@142. At a different track in better conditions, this will likely improve considerable. The run was 2/100th's off the ET record which is also currently held by Saad and Pro-EFI for street BMW's. This car belongs to BimmerBoost member ZooyorQ and we know this won't be the last we will be seeing it at the strip. Congrats to all involved.

congrats marcus! thats definitely moving! how did this stack up to HPF's drag car?

One thing to note is in that track, M5 and M6's were in low mid 13's to low 14's range and best ever achieved by ESS VT-600 M3 was 12.6. That shows how quick this car is.

Congrats. Now take it to a better prepped track, and lets see some low 10's or high 9's.

Rob's highest trap (HPF Stage 2, C16 race fuel) was 139mph.

How was Mfest btw? I haven't seen much chatter online about it like last year, my impression is it was sort of a dud this year?

From what I've read, they got into a head on accident with a semi-trailer and rolled the trailer carrying the HPF track car. AS a result they didn't get a chance to run the drag car.

I'm very glad to hear no one was seriously hurt. I'm going to guess fatigue played a roll in the accident. If that is the case I hope Chris reflects on his management style.

Thanks guys! I unfortunately didn't get any chances to run it down the track myself. I needed Saad/Jason driving/tuning it as we were tuning it live on the track being we were so short on time at the shop.

I will be driving next year after I spent more time driving it this year.

I did take it from the strip down to the Palazo and back to the track both Friday and Saturday.. lit the slicks up at 130mph on hiway 15 on accident. It moves.. and it spools so fast compared to before.. its an animal!

Everything at that track that night was performing poorly.. noone was getting traction. One person said they swore the timing was off by atleast a 1/2 a second. I don't think it was I just think the track was really poor.

We had to keep pulling power out of it to get it to hook!

Its a bummer HPF didn't get there with the drag car in time. I'm just glad everyone was ok!

I felt the track (Saturday) portion of it seemed uneventful and pretty 'light' but the drags and palazo/etc side of it was definitely well attended compared to last year. The dedicated parking area in the garage was full.. and atleast 30-40 cars had to park outside of it. The drags had about 4-5 times as many people as last year and I'm sure next year even more will attend.

wow such a waste. hopefully no one was too badly injured. Maybe next year they'll bring it out once again
