AMG V8 showdown, M156 (M159) versus M157 - CLS63 AMG with PP-Performance Stage 2 tune races an SLS AMG with full exhaust

Since the SLS only had exhaust, I'm surprised that tuned CLS63 TT didn't walk it harder. Took a long time for the CLS to get around the SLS.

SLS traps about 120 in 1/4 miles whereas a tuned CLS should trap 125 - 127. If fact, I think a tuned CLS Biturbo has trapped over 131.

Like to see a PP tuned CLS make a pass at a drag strip so we can get some real data.

You are absolutely correct. A weistec supercharger in combination with the supersprint longtubes for an SLS is a GAME OVER against any AMG car.

the one Weistec worked on in Europe in conjuction with Kleeman (a video is posted in the M156 forum) made 722rwhp and 850 Nmwtq. Talk about a bullet :-)

Exactly. the lighter weight helps acceleration. The video of the SLS posted above tapping 120mph is a stock car. an SLS with a tune + headers would make more no doubt.

Lighter car is greater for acceleration, but torque and HP play a big role at the top end

The SLS already has the PP-Perfromance tune. I think sticky forgot to mention it in the article. It has Software+ Headers+ Xpipe.
