Also I have no idea what you were saying about the impellers being the same because they aren't. I don't think they do the T-trim impeller in the V3 casing.

Sticky do you even know what kind of bearings the stock vortech's come with and what there rated to ? Pleas tell me I await your answer because I know whats in them.

What I mean by impeller's being the same is look at the V3 Si vs the V1 Si same impeller do you know the difference in the units? I do I would like you to tell me.Because you did say in a earlier post that I dont know what I talking about.

In practical application the difference between the two is greater when you max them. Here, the domestic guys know their $#@!:

i think the s trim is about 600hp or so and the T trim is about 800hp

well, maybe closer to rwhp than not - an s trim can hit 550 rwhp - maybe 575, and a t trim i think can realistically hit 650-700rwhp

yeah.. the T i'm buying off a buddy he had it at 680RWHP, but upgraded to a JT and sold me his. i'm hitting 550RWHP with my S trim.

Another thing to consider:

The difference between the V3 and the V1 & V2 is the fact that the V3 oil is self contained. I generally would stay away from these for the most part because oil that actually is pulled from the oil pan is actually cooler. This will make the centri run a tad bit cooler.

You don't seem to know what you are talking about thus far as you essentially say Vortech's own specs are wrong.

I don't know who they source their bearings from. All I know is they rate the T-trim higher and people overspin it way more than the V3 si.... soo seems their specs are right?

Again your going to domestic cars as a example I under stand why beacuse there is no where else to go. Also to answer your question on witch one I would choose SI or T trim. It would depend on application domestic V8 T Trim for the right price. A import S65 or VQ motor Si all day long, thats just me there so close on these types of engines. I would put a 928 impeller in a V3 and take the T Trim out to lunch even though it has its a bigger inlet lol.

Exactly they have all the info on these blowers but it's not like on an M3 the V3 is all of a sudden going to reverse the trend. Vortech rates the T-trim higher, guys make more power with the T-trim, it simply is the more powerful blower.

Why? For what possible reason?

2 T-trim setups hit 130 in the 1/4 boost only. First one did it over two years ago. Just now an Si setup on race gas likely with a race tune on who knows what boost finally cracked the 130 barrier at one of the fastest tracks in the country spinning heavily on multiple tries. Doesn't that tell you something about what kind of CFM you need to move on this motor?

Ok sense you didnt know what the bearings in the Si or T Trim are rated to I will give you a little infor 59k RPm's I wont tell you the name brand since you say I dont know what I am talking about lol.

I use to be a big supercharger guy love vortech's I am moving on to twins turbo's now so I will entertain you for a little while longer.

I will ask you this much since I cant find the info anywhere what are you M3's guys spinning the blowers at do you even know ? I dont care if it's a ESS or Gintani kit. I would like to know for my own reason's.

The built motor setups some of these guys are doing still use the V3 Si. The game is already over before it began.

I know what I will be spinning my YSI at but I have no idea what pulleys some of these guys are running so no clue what they are spinning it too. Regardless, you do know the max boost will be far less on a motor with a high volumetric efficiency right?

I know guys have been spinning the T Trims past 60,000 Rpms for years.Both Dynos I should you from the 350z's are both spun over 60k.This just proves what I was talking about before you can over spin them all day on a Street car.


Yes I know the boost will be far less on a motor with high VE,I am curious as hell to see what your car does I am a car guy at heart. If I was you I would take that YSI on your car and spin it to 70k all day long ,and not worry about it. You will hit that max RPM up top before you shift then right back down.

Just get your belts down tight cog 8 rib or 10 rib ,and you should be good.

I also agree built motor SI means chuck it I would then go staight to a YSI but not a T Trim.

We will see what happens. I already want a bigger blower but let's see what it can do with a maxed YSI.

I T Trim would be better by a little,there both a waste if you ask me though

A easy impeller swap for the SI, it would have just as much power as the T Trim on the low end.It also will out flow it up top and its rated to 60k.It also has been tested to 70k failure.

I Know I would do If I had a M3.

I think you have a short memory,this last go around that started up with ERM and Nismo started with you talking first.

I know it was for a run man ,and not to fight lol.As far as nismo's set up back then thats all he had was 6 pound spring in the car. Now he has a boost contoller with higher boost settings.

One thing you have to remember is Nismo and my set up will be very different.

We use different dyno's different tuners,you already know where I go you dynoed there.

Your S65 M3 as a example will never get to the max of a YSI 1200 hp no where near it. You would have to stroke it just to have a shot. So your example of almost 100 hp difference is flawed big time.

The S65 can max the YSi and here is why.

Maximum flow rated by Vortech, about 1600 CFM.

Approximate power output rated by vortech, 1200 hp.

I know the S65 can max out the YSI I never said it couldnt.Vortech are built for domestic cars with lower VE I know that.

I would love to see a S65 get to 1182 crank horse power, I doubt it unless you stroke it though.
