should be a fun car but idk what to think of it as AMG car

If they are created an AMG package version for this it just makes me wonder why that means for the real AMG version or if it is still coming?

In silver it looks like a GTI and in blue it looks like a Mazda. Zoom zoom fail.

It only resembles a GTI because it is a hatch.

They'll look even more similar with spiky-haired teens behind the wheel.

I like how Audi is doing it. They have the sport models with the S-badges. Then the high performance cars with the RS-badges.

I suppose so but when a sport model just compete with a regular non-sport model from other companies doesn't it look bad? Like the S4 used to compete with the M3. Now it competes with the 335.

The car looks good from the side...but it still doesn't look very good though...I feel like the small cars like that are all the same though...I hope MB does something different...like BMW did with the 1 series even though it's not the same class lol

yes but mercedes really has not said the amg will come to the states afaik, it is exactly what i want if i can swing it so with some luck we see it

Mercedes has made the new A-Class design alot sportier to attract a younger clientèle. Let's see if the sale figures will prove them right. Personnally I like this new design far better (does that mean I'm still young? ) but the front grille looks way oversized, like a giant nose. It makes the rest of the front elements appear tiny. The proportions just aren't right.

"We’ve known for a while now that Mercedes-Benz was planning a high-performance AMG variant of its new entry-level model, the recently revealed third generation mercedes A class, and now we have a new batch of spy shots of a prototype for the Affalterbach tuner's first hot hatch.

Previously spotted testing alongside a vw golf r, it’s obvious the benchmark AMG engineers are using to develop the car.

The prototype you see here looks very similar to the new A Class, however, look closer and you'll notice a pair of square-shaped exhaust tips, uprated brakes and wheels, and what looks to be bigger intakes.

In standard trim, the new A Class is available with a wide variety of gasoline and diesel engines, ranging from a 1.8-liter turbodiesel with 109 horsepower, to the 211-horsepower A250 with its turbocharged gasoline four-cylinder.

The AMG variant is expected to feature a similar sized engine, however, it will be tuned to develop around 320 horsepower to really give the BMW 1-Series M Coupe and Audi RS3 a scare. Its potent powerplant is thought to be engineered by mercedes high performance powertrains, based at Brixworth, England, the same company responsible for Mercedes' Formula 1 engines. Accordingly, the AMG variant will likely pickup the “A25 AMG” title to denote its extra performance.

Drive should be sent to all four wheels via a dual clutch gearbox and multi-plate clutch all-wheel drive system with rear biased torque distribution.

The story doesn’t end there as AMG boss Ola Kaellenius has previously revealed that there will also be hottep up other versions of mercedes compacts, which are expected to land in the US along with this A Class AMG model next year.
