Insideline hits 514 wheel horsepower in a M157 powered 2012 CLS63 AMG, compares to performance package S63 AMG

Before we get into the numbers for this performance package M157 CLS63 AMG we want to mention the dyno used here. Insideline uses the MD Automotive dynojet which usually reads high even for a dynojet. We posted a dyno comparison done by Renntech of a 2012 CLS 63 AMG stock, with the performance package, and with a tune, and the performance package number was 516 wheel horsepower so right inline with what Insideline hit.

However, this dyno was done on 91 octane versus 93 octane for Renntech in Florida. So, this dyno still reads high just the fuel is masking in this instance by just how much. Still, the more dyno results the merrier and if anyone wants really nice numbers use the MD Automotive dynojet.

They also compare the performance package CLS63 AMG to a performance package S63 AMG. That comparison graph is below although we do not know why they did not list the horsepower values on the graph.

Insideline stated the M157 retains much of the sound quality versus the M156 which we agree and we posted a comparison of the two engine sounds last week. Overall, great work by Insideline and we continue to be big fans.
