• PP-Performance Stage I F10 M5 tune gains 48 horsepower at the wheels - Dyno

      In December of last year we brought you a baseline MAHA dyno of the new F10 M5 by PP-Performance. PP-Performance has now finished their Stage I F10 M5 tune and the result is 492 at the wheels or corrected out by the dyno to 617 horsepower at the crank. Compared to the baseline dyno this is a gain of 48 horsepower at the rear wheels and 54.1 at the crank. Once the dyno corrects the numbers for the weather conditions the gain stated at the crank is 44 horsepower. It seems we are looking at a gain around the 50 horsepower range for a Stage I tune on the F10 M5.

        Not too bad for only stage 1. Would like to see some downpipes on this $#@! with some higher boost and meth.

        Nice gains. I, too, am curious to see what boost levels are at.

        Hopefully we start see more of these cars around the track and strip. I'd love to see how they hold up to getting pushed hard for longer periods of time.

        With the release of the M6, it just got significantly harder on deciding which would be a more fun family car...haha.

        IATs were at 100-120F...I wonder what it'd do with some nice meth injection Click here to enlarge and torque isn't dropping off before 6k rpm...wonder if that's due to boost taper up top

        I think with these minor tunes it will be absolutely fine.

        Fantastic example of how dyno testing should be shown.

        Consistent everywhere. Even down to the drag power.

        An excellent gain throughout the rpm range.

        PP need to overlay the graphs.

        This is a far cry from the general BS we see these days and over inflated claims.

        Respect given and deserved.

        So it could potentially do over 500 to the wheels with a simple tune... amazing vehicle! I would also like to see a few bolt ons, perhaps straight pipes for experiment sakes as well as a meth kit... Does anyone have any idea if this dyno reads low/high?

        No idea how this reads compared to a dynojet.

        Are these C63s with just a tune/headers/intake/exhaust really making as much HP as this tuned M5?

        Look at that torque, flat like an ironing board and really up there. This car must feel like a rocket.

        I wonder why they let off so early, I thought the M5 redline was around 7,250? seems they cut it about 1k short.
