      Here is another great video from our Russian friends at dragtimes.info. A stock 997 GT2 dyno's in the low 500 wheel horsepower range. The supercharger on the E92 M3 here is an ESS VT2-650 which is the highest horsepower stock internal offering from ESS pushing 8.5 psi of boost. Dyno numbers for the VT2-650 have been claimed to be in the 600 wheel range so we are surprised to see the trap speed at the mile favoring the GT2 with 179.67 mph versus 169.46 for the M3. Both clearly are very fast cars but 10 MPH is quite a difference especially considering it is in the favor of what is supposedly the much less powerful car. Interesting result to say the least.

        I doubt this is a 650 kit because alot of them run an upgraded fuel system which is not out to the public yet, if I had to put money I would say its a 625 kit

        They have done a few videos with 650 kits though...

        Isn't the GT2 lighter than the M3.

        It finished a full second slower than an advertised, not to mention it drops out of the video, comes back ahead, then like surges a little back and forth, almost like hes playing with the gas pedal.

        When you miss a shift, it will fall back HARD. And even if he shifted fast and properly you would see it make a sharp drop back a little bit.

        This one fell back, slowly moved up, stopped, then moved forward a little.

        I would like to see another run. If it happens exactly the same way, then somethings up woth the car, as tryin to replicate your actions deliberatley is very hard to do.

        I don't think it is messing with the gas pedal as much as the M3's constant acceleration due to the shift speed magnifying the time it takes the GT2 to shift manually.

        If there were mis-shifts I don't think he would have pulled past or trapped as well.

        Would like to see more runs as well. I don't know if I really believe that GT2 is stock.

        Oh I don't even care about that. I want to actually point out this M3 lost to a stock Porsche if anything.

        You hear the GT2 chirp it's tires early on on the 1st to 2nd shift... I argue he missed a shift to drop back that far or he is toying with that M3. He starts to pull with great ease on the top meaning he flexed his right foot and stopped screwing up or screwing around. You don't pull on someone that easily by accident. Thats a display of superior power IMO. Now maybe the M3 makes 650 crank hp or maybe it wasn't running perfectly or maybe the GT2 was modded and so on. Lots of maybe's but the GT2 walks at the end and thats way clear. I would like more runs of the two. As Matt said its hard to duplicate fumbled runs back to back

        A little OT but still quite same comparision.We had a manual 6speed M3 -08 ESS VT625 last summer, dynoed 555Whp on a Dynapack hub dyno.Smashed 996TT with GT2 mods and 997 turbo´s like it was nothing (+ R8,Corvettes,GTR).

        M3 is hurting on tq, that's really why the GT2 was able to come back.


        And fyi; for video above me that white p car is not a turbo, center exhaust my friend.....
