Former MBNA head Ernst Lieb taking Daimler to court in Germany over wrongful dismissmal

Well, the Ernst Lieb story just keeps on going. A few weeks ago we reported that Steve Cannon was
replacing Ernst Lieb as the head of MBUSA. The reasoning for Lieb's dismissal was that he
charged personal expenses to the company expense account. It would seem that Mr. Lieb disagrees with Daimler's actions and is taking them to court. His argument seems to hinge on proving that Daimler was aware of his charges and simply made an example out of him to please the U.S Justice Department and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission which brought bribery chargers against Daimler AG. That case
was settled for $185 million. Lieb may have a case here if Daimler was allowing executive in other countries to charge vacations to their accounts in order to get government contracts.
