      The 997.2 has a new, well price exhaust option courtesy of Sharwerks. The exhaust is made entirely out of T304 stainless. It is basically a straight through design that improves on the stock muffler, the factory cats remain in place. Completely emissions compliant and it uses the factory mounting points. Weight savings are about 8 pounds. No dyno provided or any horsepower gains claimed so this seems to be an option for a more aggressive tone more than anything else.

        Yeah but it's still a little hard to swallow paying $1,600.00 for such a simple piece with a straight through design. Porsche tax...

        100 bucks in parts there with some really gay tail lights.

        Very true but put in perspective of the price of the other parts this is a well priced part for the platform.

        I know, Porsche tax.

        Taillights aren't my thing either. Yes, clearly this is just a couple pipes. That said, anything else is going to cost you far more coin.

        The fact that it mates up to the factory cats and is factory-diameter tubing:

        -definitely keeps the cost down, and
        -definitely leaves some HP/TQ on the table

        Overall though, owners are raving about these - much improved sound and a bit better breathing too.
