      A big congratulations to BenzBoost member Dodger63. He raised the bar significantly turning a 10.6@130 all motor at Maryland International Raceway this week. This is the quickest naturally aspirated pass to date for any M156 equipped vehicle. The vehicle essentially has bolt on's with a new race gas tune and was run on drag radials with skinnies up front. There is also a bit of weight reduction provided by carbon fiber body pieces. Congratulations once again!

        Who needs it I do!!!! Car ran well today I screwed up and weather wasn't what I hoped for but still any day at the track is better the umm.... Everything most, boost this Benz in its current setup and I really don't see why a real low 10 wouldn't be possible!
        Low 10s on boost???? Try high 9s my friend. Think about it, I'm running 10.6s in a 4100 pound car in +2000 DA"s. My 10.6 corrected down to a 10.38 and your car has got to be at least 500 pounds lighter than mine. Thta should be good for 3/10th alon then factor in the -1000 to -1500 DA that you ran in yesterday and you're talking another 2/10ths, You could realisticlly be laying down 9.90's with less boost and power than my car is making.

        Weistec should give you one at cost to see if you can make it happen. Earl and I will be running 9s very shortly but with about 5 times the amount of mods your car has. PROPS!

        You are not using the proper correction factor. You are correcting for NA. Not Turbo or SC.

        Both of your runs correct to 10.5 @ 134 using correction for "Extensively Modified Supercharged and Turbocharged Engines"

        150-200whp, maybe more, that's a conservative figure.

        Yeah,if your running that much more over what you already have then hi 9's in the 140s is a given..cant wait to see it in action!

        I would never say 9s cause is get eaten up by some members I think.. I would sure except I deep discount to go race the blower hard!

        Let the haters hate, its simple math actually. I would be the first one to have your back, your car with my mods(my last set of mods) would go 9s all day. I would bankroll any bets for you for anyone that wanted to line up too.

        BTW, why are you avoiding the mod list and weight questions. What does your car weigh, what all has been removed for passes?

        I'm not avoiding it at all mods are all about the same nothing really change other then a "new" tune and new spark plugs, I'm not exactly happy with the day yesterday its all my own fault I actually had no intentions of being able to beat mondays time, the cars weight is a mystery to me, I took front seats out replaced it with sparco evo 2 seat no passanger or back seats carbon hood and trunk so right there prob close to 200 lbs if I remeber correctly the car was 4140 with me in it stock with the lighter as wheels and tires possibly another 80# .it exactly sure is guys its in the area of 3800 with me in it

        that's actually heavier than I would have guess, if that's accurate your times are even that more impressive. Are you running cats, resonators and mufflers? That's a 140 pounds right there if all that stuff is removed.

        O $#@! your right I always forget the exhausr savings I guess cause its not seen yes the 3" race exhaust not sure of 140 but it is cobsidarable lighter ill weight the stock stuff and update that

        no worries, I wasn't try to call you out, I just recalled hearing on one of the boards that you run straight exhaust and I know the factory mufflers and cats weigh A LOT. Next time you're at the track put it up on the scale with you sitting in it, I just want to know for comparison and I think it would be helpful for other, just goes to show how import weight is to a ET. You're dis-proving the old statement of "there's no replacement for displacement"...ya there is, its called a diet LOL.

        He's been saying this for years. But realistically with $300+k invested I would expect way better than 9s. Think UGR or Alpha 12

        Different platforms with big turbos. You put big turbos on the M156 and you are going to get some nice results as well but there isn't a mid engine bay to play with.

        It means you are comparing them to platforms with turbos. The M156 is a more efficient motor with more displacement than the GTR so with some similar big ole turbos it will make more power.

        Mid engine I assumed you were referring to UGR Gallardo's and the like? They have tons of room in the engine bay to do that the cars the M156 is in don't have the same luxury which is why we are seeing superchargers instead. Plus, the M156 has only a small handful pushing it with boost at the moment.

        So, I'm trying to your statement into context.
