Mercedes Formula 1 team name changed to reference AMG, now known as MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team

Mercedes clearly has a desire to promote the AMG brand name as much as possible as that is fine by us. The name of the Mercedes Formula 1 team for 2012 will now include AMG in the title. There is more to this name change than just brand awareness however. The Mercedes Formula 1 powertrain facility in Brixworth, UK has worked closely with the AMG division for a number of years now so it is great to see AMG get the credit they deserve.
