      The race for luxury leader in the USA is getting tighter. November sales had Mercedes coming out on top of BMW. Mercedes is now just 1600 units behind BMW for all of 2011. BMW moved 21,521 units in November which was an increase of 7%. This makes two months in a row that Mercedes has topped BMW despite BMW increasing its sales. If Mercedes had a December to remember (yes, the rhyming was intentional) they can beat out BMW for the year.

        Was an article about this in the WSJ as well. Apparently MBZ had it's best Nov ever. Not bad considering the economy but they have some very attractive finance options which helps to move cars.

        so how is mercedes eating up the market? I got to admit their recent offering of cars have all been pretty much outstanding

        They are just duking it out with BMW for volume and trying to move as much as possible. It's a race to the final day but if Mercedes maintains their momentum they can win out AND surpass Lexus as well.
