      The first tunes for the N20B20 are trickling out. Kelleners released their tune (no pricing provided) which ups the output from 245 horses to 289. A fairly mild tune as we expect to see much more out of the motor. What we truly wish we had was a dyno as in stock form the motor puts out 233 horsepower to the wheels making Kelleners' crank estimates basically useless. The nice part about the Kelleners' plug in module is that it can be easily installed or removed, no fuss.

        Not bad, but I expect BMS or Vishnu to offer much more for likely less money. This will be a fun little motor for sure.

        I'm sure Cobb will want to jump on this too, if it turns out to be very tunable. I think there will be a lot more options for engine as soon as the new 3 series starts rolling out, as way more people will own being that it goes in the cheapest models. What will the new 3 series be called? 328 stil?

        BMS in particular will have stronger options for less money just like they do now. Kelleners just gets this out first due to their location.

        This motor is going to be the most tuned of any BMW motor in recent memory. The aftermarket will be open to more people and this will be in a greater volume of cars. All the kids with N52's who could not mod now suddenly will be able to. I intend to put up an article on this soon as it is going to change the BMW landscape.

        No doubt it will change everything. The new n20 numbers are not far apart from the n55 looking at the whp ###. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets to 500whp before the n55.

        If I was buying a base 3-series I think I would go with this engine. Might as well use the savings over the 335i for mods. Just seems like it would be more fun getting power out of the N20.

        I think this is a very cool engine... If I were to buy another "everyday" car right now, I am almost certain this is what would power it. If you think about this - it's almost unbelievable. If you were to tell me 10 years ago that a 2.0 liter was making more power to the ground than a 5.7 liter (LS1 of the same year) Corvette - I would have laughed. Not to say that the LS1 cannot be charged, this engine is a whole new platform in a whole new league is the point.

        I don't see this engine challenging the boosted sixes... but it certainly opens up a whole new world of tuning and modding for the younger buyers

        It should at least put up a good fight though. It will challenge them if it can get big turbo options faster...

        The new N20B20 is definitely going to be a fun motor to tune! I'm excited to see how tuners maximize this motor. It should produce some awesome power with a tune, downpipes, exhaust, and intercooler.
