I would definitely say the cool air makes all the difference in the world...you definitely have a fast M3! Let's figure something out and try to document it at some point. Drags are one thing but I think the 60-130 is a much better test and I'd like to see how I stack up to that baby V8 you've got under your hood ;-) lol

lol i am down if you head down and pretty sure it will end up the same with me trapping better because of new tires and meth actually working now.

haha...you dont have a BBK right? I got 18in mt1s with nitto 555r for the rear, we can always throw them on your car at the track and see how deep into the 11s you can get @125+...ill let you know def shoot you a text later in the week

yeah cold air is a real big difference....we def gotta get something together, i think it'll be close with the C63 coming out on top to be honest (from what ive seen from dynos/traps on dragtimes they are mid 11 sec cars at 120+, which is ridiculous)....well get something set-up soon def

this video also makes me want to do an S85 swap in the E28.

A friend of mine at the dealer said someone in Germany managed to crack the DME and is selling kits now, full long block+accessories, engine harness and cracked DME for around $20k.

Find me a 6-speed gearbox and you bet I will have a ridiculously fast car...considering the E28 only weighs a hair over 3000lbs..

There's a guy in MD running the S62 in an E24... thing is NASTY cool.

S85 might in the E28 might be do-able though the stock header swill likely not clear that stupid E28 firewall. There was an S85 that sold locally for like $9k from a wrecked M5. Would be cool just for the sound! Since you wouldn't be trying to mate it up to the traction/trans/etc you could just run it on a standalone.

Tune-only C63's are not regular mid-11-second cars. First, there needs to be DR's, then good track prep, plus good temp/air, and skinnies up front definitely help the cause.

Add LT's and C63's become regular mid-11-second cars, without skinnies up front.

I would say your car would be a very stout test for a tune-only C63.

Now, 60-130 should be real interesting, because we have some tune-only cars with some awesome times--with different roll speed and shift methods employed.

I would love to see some results from you and BK63AMG. Would be very interesting.

Im going to see if I cant get some more info from him, but after thinking about the price, in addition to what smallsnail said, I might be able to have the whole thing in the car for 20. It would be a long block for 10k, trans for 5 and at least another 5 for a Pectel unit from Neel and harness....then I could actually wring some good hp out of the car and it would start in the cold no problem

thats what was said prior to the race, who knows though that thing was out big time...both me and bren have ran even with other bolt on m5/m6s so im not sure

Ahhhh, were always on different schedules lol. I dont think ill be able to make it, I say we wait a couple more weeks until the temps are nice and in the 50-60's and go to atco and set some records for both platforms ...... you get DR's yet?
