      People are going to debate if this car is still a BMW but from what we understand this is still an E30 chassis with a manual transmission and a heavily modified S38 I6. The 3.7 liter motor features Pauter rods, Arias pistons, 264 degree cams, full methanol, 6 1200 cc injector, 6 1000 cc injectors, and a custom T66 turbo. Power is estimated in the 1300 horsepower range. The body has been modified with fiberglass front fenders and a hood. It has run a best of 7.69@184 miles per hour. We do not know what to say other than congratulations to Budler Motorsports.

        Sticky don't you think this is pretty easy considering how simple and outdated the platform is? ECU tuning must have been a real breeze.

        There are reasons you see this done with E30's and S38's vs. E63's and S85's. I'll let you try to figure those out.

        Breeze? Maybe not quite but easier? You bet.

        I don't know if it is 66mm exactly as the turbo has been modified they said.

        yeah, was just hoping for clarification as that sounds about 10mm short. but i'm no expert.

        not too impressive but looking at that speed it should have been a sub 7.5 run

        and budler's closest competition in the turbo class but they good friends

        What is interesting to note is that they have moved the turbo which seems smaller back into the engine compartment. This must've been one of the changes to gain the extra 10mph on the exit.

        Its still a unibody and not a tube chassis which is impressive.

        that looks like a Borg Warner housing or more specifically a Bullseye spec housing and the turbine housing also looks a bit wider
