      Well, it seems Porsche could not wait until the Frankfurt Auto Show and decided to reveal the brand new 2012 Porsche 911 early. Nothing wrong with that and we certainly do not mind. The new car looks great, sleeker, and more modern. The front really isn't all that different which is not surprising considering the uproar when Porsche goes too far switching away from the classic circular headlights. The tail looks very edgy and modern now though, definitely a step forward. The side profile is also more aggressive.

      The Carrera and Carrera S both get horsepower bumps with the Carrera up to 350 horsepower from a 3.4 liter flat-6 while the Carrera S gets a 400 horsepower 3.8 liter unit. PDK is available on both cars and the Porsche quoted figure for 0-60 on the Carrera S is 4.1 seconds. In the hands of magazines or people on the drag strip, expect 0-60 in the 3's. The car will be available for sale in the USA in February of next year.

        From back it's a really good looking car, but front is meh.

        Exactly what I was thinking but it pisses the purists off. The purists are the same people who keep the Cayman from becoming what it could truly be.

        So true. I don't know why they can't accept that Mid engine layout is better than rear engine. Porsche should offer the 3.8 in Cayman too but some 911 owners will be dusted and that's no-no thing.

        I want one.

        The new interior is perfect. Porsche has stepped up their interior to a whole new level. Best from Germany I believe. The Panamera, new Cayenne, and the new 911 are examples.
