      Congratulations to davidtm5 for his record breaking 1/4 mile run. David has an E36 with a built S52 motor running a giant GTX 42 turbo along with Bavarian Solutions cams. Car has hit in the mid 900's to the wheels (so over 1000 crank horsepower) at about 37 psi. Simply a beast and this was proven with a record setting 9.0 second 1/4 mile run in the middle of the Summer. Records just continue to fall and the bar keeps getting raised. The first 8 second 1/4 mile pass for a street BMW? Just around the corner.

        Ok, specs say stock rear end, 3.46 LSD, DSS shaft and axles. You have anything else to improve the chassis in the rear? Such as solid or poly bushings? Subframe or trailing arm reinforcement? What is so different about the e46 that it doesn't seem to be able to do this?

        This is a great car, thanks for sharing.

        The owner of that Honda is my friend. Its a 8 sec car. All I am saying is that they should have found a better spot for that turbo on that e36. It could have looked way better.

        the location of his turbo is really the only option for a turbo that big. the only other option that makes sense is passenger side bottom mount.imo, this car can't be counted as 'fastest bmw' with its tko tranny. of course that takes nothing away from it!

        I'd rather have the turbo up there than have it in the bumper so it can eat whole bunch or rocks and $#@!.

        HMMMMMM you can fit a PTE billet 76 under a m3 hood with a ebay top mount and make 900whp and close the hood so this car is still a backyard mechanic special

        yea right .. if i can fit it under the hood with out cutting anything out ,i would do it already . but it my car i like how it look now untill i redesign a custom front mount manifold .seem like you are just a hater...... only
