      The M157 ECU tune from BenzBoost premier vendor Modern Horsepower (MHP) is now available. The dyno below is a Cartec dyno from the MHP European facility. It reads stock, non-performance package cars at 528 crank and 484 rwhp. Tuned cars are at 627 crank and 589 rear wheel horsepower. Torque figures rise from 569 crank / 521 rwtq stock to 690l / 632 rwtq. Dyno tests were done on 98 RON octane fuel on a car without the performance package. This tune is available now for $2995.

        wow, these are some good size turbos for stock. I'd expect it to start off with lots off power and die off. It's actually the opposite! The power gets stronger near redline like a SC or NA motor would. very nice power gains and the graph looks awesome.

        Keep in mind this is stock with no performance package. This is a large value in relation to the PP.

        can you tell the newbs what ben models the M157 goes in?also, what the hell is up at 6500 RPM? Looks like float?

        WOW!!! This engine is so $#@!ing nuts. I can't believe it comes with this much power stock, plus a simple tune gives you over 100WHP!!! WOW!!!

        No valve float, also no gain in going over 6500rpm due to the turbos being out of breath.

        M157 is now avail in the S63, CL63, and next it will be optional (along with the M156) in the 2012 E63. You will see it cover the entire 63 spread including SL as the new top performance offering now that MB has killed off the SL65 due to the SLS roadster.

        Great gains. It looks more like a glory HP run IMO. Seems abrupt up top like there is some more fine tuning to do. Why didn't Techtec or whatever his name is, start to taper the boost/ power cleanly from 4800 to 5400 to redline similar to the factory tune and it's curve prior to the peak? Sure you'd give up 15-20 PEAK hp but it would pull alot cleaner then the puke n die from a drive ability standpoint.

        The file wasn't actually created by "Techtec" (which is a GmbH not a person anyway) but I'll leave you with this, there is great irony in your suggestion. Click here to enlarge

        Here's a customer dyno from Asia. It was 99F and over 90% humidity. Just shows you what happens to a FI car in the summer, you can see the A/Fs are perfect despite the not so great peak numbers:

        That is getting the most safely out of the motor in extreme conditions.

        Not sure what you mean?

        The "worst case scenario" Asian summer graph shows 550rw assuming 18% DT loss as most do as standard (which is not what the Cartec shows but that's another conversation altogether) that's 670HP at the crank. Torque goes from 568rw to 660rwtq or 805lb/ft at the crank as well.
