Part of the delay going to this big blower was the bracket. The bracket needed to be re-designed to handle the YSI and make sure it would not flex. The bracket on this car is not the final design. We saw the final design on another M3 and it is gorgeous. We were not allowed to photograph it though so as to not give it away. Understandable at this stage in the game.
What we can tell you about the Stage III is one will be able to get it with a YSI if one chooses. The T-trim is also an option and means if one upgrades from Stage II to Stage III they do not need a new blower. We are not sure if they will just refer to the Stage III with a YSI as Stage III+ or something different.
The car here is running the YSI with meth on 91 pump gas. It has seen various boost figures up to 18 psi. It turns out, even a blower like the YSI can be maxed out on the S65 at stock displacement. The car here has also been revved quite high as well and the YSI has kept up although it is nearing the end of its efficiency range. This car is a daily driver that has been beaten on since the beginning and continues to be driven hard with the Stage III setup. Some areas that needed upgrading were discovered during the durability testing which will be going on the other Stage III cars now as well.
More details will come soon but for now enjoy the pictures. The owner described the car simply as silly fast and with the power figures we heard we do not doubt him. We can not go into the exact numbers but suffice it to say they should satisfy just about everyone. With not really any room for anything bigger this is going to be the biggest power upgrade available for the S65... for now.
