For whatever reason, we have seen some race cars fly over barriers during Motorsport events as of late. At the Nurburgring 24 hours, a BMW 318 race car flew over the barrier during a wreck. Also, who can forget the horrible Audi crash from this years the 24 Hours of Le Mans? This Alpina B6 race car literally jumped over the barrier and straight into a portable toilet. Good thing nobody was inside and there were no serious injuries sustained to drivers or spectators as a result of these crashes.
