      A month ago we brought you CLS550 M278 twin turbo dyno results. That dyno was from a rear wheel drive car. Insideline did a dyno test of the 4Matic CL550 and the results are similar yet higher than the the numbers OE Tuning hit in the rear wheel drive CLS550. Since the 2011 CL550 is all wheel drive, Insideline could not use their usual dynojet and instead used GMG's AWD Mustang dyno.

      The car hit 357 wheel horsepower to all 4 wheels on the Mustang vs. 342 for the RWD CLS550 on the OE Tuning Dyno Dynamics. The numbers are fairly close but it goes to show how different dynos read differently.

      Insideline also compared the CL550 to the Nissan GTR for fun. That graph is below.

        The GT-R power figures in the graph show about 430 whp? Is this for the MY 2012?

        If it's for MY2011 or older seems like very little drivetrain loss.

        Yep, these motors are all low end torque.

        What are the chances MB will make a CLS550 4Matic? If they do, sign me up...CLS styling and AWD combined with the inevitable tunes that will be released = best of all words!

        With how they have eliminated certain RWD models in favor of AWD I think the chances are good.
