      These are almost becoming common, aren't they? We must say, we really like what LS1tech members are doing with these motors. From putting them into Porsche 911's to BMW 3 series', these motors seem to be finding their way into everything. We don't think that is a bad thing. Hard to beat the LS V8 series for weight, reliability, power, and cost. Check out the build pictures and videos below.

        You guys have heard my retirement idea, right? I'm gonna sell Apex and open "The LS Shop." We'll put LS motors in EVERYTHING. BMW's, 911's, VW Buses, Go-Karts, Barstools, Outhouses.....

        LS swaps are awesome. I considered using one for my car. A budget option is using the 5.3 liter, aluminum block engine from the SSR. You can pick up a lightly used one for $400-600. Makes 300 hp stock. With headers and cams you'll be right around 400.

        Still kind of wishing I had done that.

        Honestly, an LS swap in your 325ci would be cooler...

        I think there are companies out there that have solved the CAN Bus issue. Giving them a fully functional dash and no check engine lights...its all in how much you want to pay and personal tastes. If no one comes out with a reasonalbly priced e46 m3 who knows what I might do. I mean one can do alot with 20,000.00

        I can't remember exactly but it was in the 300s. Turned out the MAF came from a vehicle involved in a flood and was causing issues. A few month later it made 410hp at the crank on a DynoDynamics roller.
