Here is another mile race from our friends in Russia at dragtimes.info. This race is a very interesting race to see as they are both very fast cars with dual clutch transmissions but it also covers a long of enough distance to mitigate the Porsche AWD advantage at launch. The race plays out as expected, the 997 Turbo gets the jump and takes the 1/4 mile but the Italia start to make up ground and at the mile marker has the higher trap speed but can't get there before the Porsche.
Most don't look at this but IMO I always look at how car do when they are bolted up and tuned. Regardless if I bought a 458 or McLaren, I would do an exhaust and tune. That's just how I do things since I always like to get more power extracted safely.
Exhaust and tune on the 458 = what like 20bhp maybe?
Exhaust and tune on the McLaren = Possibly 100bhp+?
The McLaren with an extra 100hp should be a 140mph trapping car.
Again, most don't care about this but to me it's pretty important.
458 + twin turbos = $#@! all over everything you just said.

I've said it before....that package will cost $150k. The McLaren's mods will be around $20,000. You can also put larger turbos on the McLaren. You can put $200,000 into anything and make it fast. You know that bro. Bottom line is the McLaren can realistically be modded to be dumb fast while the 458 is what it is.

Nah, UGR is already working on it. It will be up there but reasonable enough for the people who have these anyway. The 458 will always have a displacement advantage on the McLaren.
