      When the Porsche 991 was first reported as coming with a 7-speed manual many people wondered how the layout would look exaclty. Well, supposedly AutoBild has answered that question. Now this picture looks official but it isn't, it is a photoshop. Autobild assures everyone it is based on the real thing so I guess we have to take their word for it as it is doubtful they would risk their credibility over a guess.

        wow, I was wondering what car would be first to make a 7 speed manual tranny. porsche has done it again. that will be a game changer... wonder how it will differ the car in a race.. I doubt they'd put this in the gt series..

        It's a MPG move more than anything else.

        I thought the same way too, it would make easier to shift.

        Which gate will the shifter sit in when you let go of it? And what will it feel like when you are moving it left and right? It seems like a 7th to 5th downshift would be kind of difficult.
