      Hard to believe there is such a large disparity here between the cars. The exact specs are not given but we know the Protomotive car is a 996 with around 1000 horsepower and the 997 is a Switzer R911 package with a tiptronic transmission. We have attached a Switzer R911 dyno below which puts out very healthy 851 whp so we do not understand how the Protomotive car is so much damn stronger.

        possibly gearing? but its probably more likely a much better looking curve (power sustained to redline or a continuous build) than the switzer one above. but even so that was a spanking as members have stated, so it looks like at least a 100hp differential.

        I used to follow the Porsche world very closely, and still do...

        From what I remember, the R911 has stock internals. It has larger turbos and more free flowing components as well as a race gas tune than the P800(750) that was running the Moscow Unlimited.

        The Protomotive car has larger turbos (garrett gt35r turbos I think) and built internals. 1000whp+. Some of the cars run Q16, Meth, N2O, etc.

        That's why.

        Sick video but anyone else notice the 996 getting jumps? Notice especially at the last run at 3:31 the 996 stays behind and hits it. Im not sure where they are supposed to start the run, there are yellow and red cones. The 997 goes to the red cones and the 996 hits it right before the yellow cones. That would pretty much be cheating as the 997 stays behind and hits it early thus causing a flyby as the 997 just started the run. But of course its speculation..

        2 similar powered cars (or lets say a 100hp difference), if one hits a hard jump its very hard for the other to catch, it could make it look much faster then the other simply because of the way the run started.

        I thought it was 1000 crank, if it is 1000 whp I get it then.

        Jumps or no jumps the power differential is so great it doesn't even matter. I think the idea of a jump is exacerbated due to how hard it pulls right away. Also, with no honks it is difficult to judge.

        Not sure of the exact specs of this car but there are a few Protomotive Porsches that are running 1000whp. By the way he pulled the R911 I think this is one of them. I didn't have the sound on but by the way he jumped he either had a nice brake-boost or maybe some n2o to spool the turbos? I'm sure more info will emerge.

        Yep, we need more info. There looks to be a huge power difference between the two so 1000 whp vs. 800 whp makes sense.

        That 996tt is a Proto customer from France

        It has 3.8l, reground cams, GT3586R's.......etc

        I believe the powerband on those 3.8l is huge comparing with stock 997tt w/bolt on kit

        I know that SPI car ran 0-186 in 17,8sec

        It looks to me that r911 car has a problem with tranny slippage.

        However congrats on Proto car, its a different league car. Engine build+3586 turbos is a serious difference.

        I refused to sell my transmission kit to the one of the vendors there, because i understood he was trying to copy my kit.
