MotorTrend renders the Porsche 991 Carrera plus some more details

You would be hard pressed to spot much of a difference between these renderings and the 997. We know from details released there are some significant changes between the 991 and 997. Namely the weight, which has been reduced and the wheelbase, which has been increased. The engine has also been moved forward by about 3 inches reducing the rear overhang. The fuel tank also has been increased by a gallon.

The limited slip differential will have variable lock based on conditions thanks to the PDK hydraulic pump. The Carrera S redline thanks to lighter valvetrain parts will be raised to 7800 rpm. The car will be lighter, more powerful, more efficient, and better handling.

Expected more of a change to the exterior? So did we as MotorTrend's rendering just seems like a 997 that was slightly tweaked. Porsche styling is always mild changes though. We'll know for sure when the car is revealed officially in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show.

i can hardly spot the differences between this rendering and a 997, they are pretty subtle, i just cant wait to see the damn car and its iterations

Yeah, I think that rendering is not very good.
