      12.1@121 is the fastest time we have seen so far for a Performance Package M157 twin turbo V8. You might recall that Insideline tested the S63 AMG with the performance package and hit 12.3@116 in the much heavier S class. The lighter (4256 pound) CLS63 puts up some very impressive numbers with 0-60 under 5 seconds and a low 12 second time. We have no doubt this means the lighter E63 AMG will hit 11's stock and about 124 mph in the 1/4 with the Performance Package.

        This car looks amazing.

        It absolutely murders the 6er Grand Coupe coming out.

        Drove this car on the track at Monticello...felt very nose-heavy and sluggish in transition. Monster on the straights though.

        It is fairly nose heavy and just heavy in general but yes, straightline monster.

        Hopefully the E will be better balanced.

        I drove the E63 that same day and can tell you firsthand that it is SIGNIFICANTLY better handling than the CLS. I was surprised at how neutral and balanced the chassis felt, particularly in the corners. Though it didn't feel quite as fast as the CLS.

        But an M156 E63 not M157, correct?

        Actually, I believe it was a 2012 E63 with the M157 and MCT. I cannot say with 100% certainty, though. I was there for the AMG Performance tour at Monticello, NY.

        Should have been pretty obvious if it was turbocharged or not.

        I absolutely adore this new CLS, what a looker!
