      The new Audi A7 is the competitor to the Mercedes CLS. The 4 door coupe segment is popular and Audi, desiring to be the largest luxury automaker, is trying to fit in every niche. Insideline found it surprisingly sporty and we agree it is for a 4,207 pound car. It pulled .88g on the skidpad and ran the 1/4 mile in 13.6@101 in 80 degree weather at the notoriously slow Fontana Drag Strip. Sharing the motor with the B8 S4, there will be some nice gains to be had with tuning for a pretty quick ride despite the 8 speed auto instead of a DSG.

        I really like the A7. Lets see what they do with the S7.

        S7 will be really interesting but likely also an auto. It will have the single turbo 4.0 liter V8 in the 400 hp range.
