• Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR takes on an Aston Martin DBS and Ferrari 458 Italia on the highway

      This video comes from our Russian friends at dragtimes.info. They took a few nice cars out to play on the highway including a McLaren SLR, Aston Martin DBS, Nissan GTR, Ferrari 458 Italia, and a PDK Porsche Turbo. The majority of the runs are the SLR and the Aston which is unfortunate as the Aston looks like it is standing still. What is surprising is the 458 manages to take the SLR. Would have been nice to see the SLR and PDK turbo go at it as well but hey, enjoy the video.

        The 458 Italia is a MONSTER.... very light-weight and very potent at high rpms.

        damn the porsche turbo and the 458 just rape all. That DBS driver sucked at driving, that thing had potential...

        Not really. It's just SLOW. Me and my friends always joke around about the astons. My good buddy goes out on exotic runs through NYC and it's always hilarious hearing the stories how the Lambos and Ferraris put buslengths on the Astons and that the poor AM's usually just get lost because they are so slow. Nice looking cars though and very classy...which is what they are created for anyway. The DBS is just a money making Aston with some cool aggressive body work and a weak motor.

        I definitely agree with this. Basically a DB9 on steroids which, well, is like a very well dressed senior citizen on steroids.

        Agree. The 458 is fast, but the SLR and it should be close.
