      So, your typical day in Southern California. Sun shining, go out for Sushi, and spot the F10 M5 doing some testing. This is apparently the manual test car, there were no shift paddles. The test driver seemed to be agitated we were taking so many photos. We kept snapping away until we both got a red light. The test drivers window was down so we tried to ask some questions, he just ignored us. BMW, it wouldn't hurt to get some test drivers with a personality or to interact with your fans. The guy is out on public roads, he shouldn't get upset people are snapping photos of a highly anticipated car. You guys aren't that upset about the 1M critcism, are you?

        It's possible he wasn't with BMW but rather one of the firms that tests for the govt.

        He hardly even got on it, was so muffled I couldn't hear it much over the other traffic.

        I don't think so, this is the first we have seen of the manual M5 testing. Seems I wasn't the only one who spotted him and it was a BMW test driver.

        The button he presses to self destruct the car if god forbid someone takes a video or rolls up asking questions.

        My Nissan Frontier, was picking up tires. Not glamorous, but when I need a truck it gets the job done.

        I could have been driving an M3 with a suit made out of BMW roundels and the guy wouldn't have said anything.

        The M5 is coming. We know the specs, we know the transmissions, he wasn't carrying nuclear secrets.

        I saw it on YouTube first. that was a cool sighting and a funny awkward moment at the light.

        I agree, he was the awkward one, not you. Maybe they are told not to say a word to outsiders?

        The new M5 looks a bit understated -- but it's certainly going to be surprising lots of 'other' car owners.

        It was awkward but I wish it was timed better or later as when I drove away I kept thinking of all the things I should have said.
