      A major congratulations to ICS performance is in order. There was some controversy a couple weeks back regarding this M coupe putting down 784 whp on the dyno. Whether the runs were made on pump gas or not the fact is the car is incredibly fast recording a major BMW performance breakthrough. There were members asking for performance figures other than the dyno and now they have them, with the car breaking all BMW records at the Texas mile and being the first BMW to run over 200 mph in the mile. Congratulations to George and everyone at Imported Cars of Stamford.

      Some additional details:

      30 mph head wind hindered many cars.

      178 mph was achieved on 23 psi.

      190 mph was achieved on 26 psi.

      Boost or turbo changes for the 200 mph run and changes from the 784 whp have not been disclosed yet. Videos of the runs coming soon.

        Damn, this is the first to hit 200 in the mile huh. Congrats to ICS for accomplishing this!

        no doubt the runs are legit, and a congratz is in order, but damn, to hit 178 in the mile an s54 needs 23 psi? i would have figured with much higher revs pushing the turbine, the byproduct of timing (boost) would not need to be so high. asr ran 179 at 18-19psi on racegas, in the heat, with the lame stock open diff at 3.08. texas is probably just as hot so no difference there. i guess the n54 is emerging as a nice little evolution of the s54, not nearly as over engineered but producing similar goals and times with seemingly less power and stress. im guessing the 200mph run was on racegas, how about the lower settings?

        doesn't the Z3 fall under the E36 generation as the E36/7 (Roadster) and E36/8 (Coupe)?
        Even the Z3's with the S54's were considered E36 generation.

        Sticky could have called it a Z3, to be a bit more precise.

        A very few DID receive the S54 M engines, but they are fairly rare.

        If you mean S50, then you MUST mean the European S50B32 (for the Euro market)
        as OUR United States/North American Z3Ms (E36/7's and E36/8's) received S52B32US and the few S54B32 engines

        Nice! I would have loved to take my F10 to the mile and see what see would have run stock. Given that with 820whp this lighter car barely got over 200 I wonder what it will take for my heavy ass 550 to get there!

        Thank you, N54 has nothing to do with any of this and on it's best day is over 20 mph short of this.
