      The overall BMW 60-130 record has been broken by a twin turbo E36 M3. Yes, this car belongs to Mert Dastan. Not the most credible source in the BMW world and someone who has accrued a questionable reputation. Therefore, we advice readers to keep these questions of credibility in mind when reviewing the provided details of this run. The car is a Euro spec E36 M3 with twin 68 mm turbos, custom intercoolers, and an 8900 rpm redline. The car was run on C16 at 27 psi. There is no video of the run and the owner admits there is nitrous on the car although claims it was not used.

        You raise a good question. There isn't much of any information on this car, pics, vids, dyno, etc.

        ok, awesome numbers but here afew things.
        first take a video of the pull, it shows us that the car isn't stripped as you mention.
        second why the hell you don't do your best ? You know "I could use NOS but i didn't want to do it" sounds a bit fishy.

        This car is retarded fast! Anything sub-5 is just insane. 1/4 mile in mid 9 sec @ 145+ traps, right?

        The main goal was to dive into 4s. cannot describe how happy I am now. We did test each weekend and were deep into this test.

        We were so much into the 60-130 tests, and now I feel so goood.

        Will post vid, photos, not that difficult. Just ordered some more video systems.

        The E36 M3 euro, bought it brand new 1998 july, was individual paint, I have taken it off the truck coming from germany.

        So the E36 M3 has a big meaning for me, was 23 when I bought it brand new. Never intended to strip it. Wanted to keep the interior close to stock.
        There is not even a single gauge inside.

        But will make my E36 lighter for sure. But not stripped, just lighter....there is a difference between light and stripped.

        My E46 M3 is stripped. Thats no secret. Its lighter than a stock E46 M3.

        regarding n20, tried to spray 2 times, both trials ended with massive loss of traction. Once n20 hits, the car has jumped into the the other lane.

        This kind of loss of traction was never experienced before. It scared me, cause not just the back of the car, also the front all together loose grip. It does make me feel scared.

        Conclusion, will spray n20 in the coming days with the newcoming tires. Will make it lighter. And hopefully come with better times.

        Note: Why dont you do your best? There is no best at a given time. You can continuously improve.
        I have a very long list of things to do, which will help me to go sub 4.49 seconds 60-130.
        I promised to dive into 4s. I did 4.49 / 4.54 / 4.60 / 4.70 all at the same day @ 91 F ambient.

        Just the slope by itself, it was 0,49 % incline, if I can get a 2 % decline, which is very easy to attain, my times will be less than 4,49 s. Imagine my time was with a 0,49 % UPHILL. From a 0,49 % uphill down to a 2 % downhill the times will change a lot.

        Now will continue to work hard to make sub 4.49s
        Thanks God, there is so much left to do to improve both M3s.

        Mert you still have a long way to go. Can you confirm if you if you were eating a sammie during the runs. I'm currently having bacon wrapped shrimp with a tuna sammie.
