Inside Info - How the F10 M5 twin turbo V8 will differ from the X5/X6 M and how it is already hitting 700 hp

We have received some inside information from a tuner who has seen some of BMW's test files. Apparently, BMW has been testing the motor at various levels of boost, obviously knowing it will be tuned, with files up to 700 horsepower. BMW is aware of the Performance Package on the E63 and the tuner who had access to the files inside BMW reports that they are aggressively prodding the limits. What this means is that BMW may offer their own performance package software to compete with Mercedes who has them
out-gunned on raw power according to the latest dyno numbers and that the motor will have plenty of headroom from the stock boost level.
We also learned that there is a backorder of M5 parts already in dealer systems in the Middle East. The cams and manifolds are different between the F10 M5 and the X5/X6 M. We knew there would be differences when we saw that the M5 had a
redline of over 7000 rpm compared to the X5/X6 M which are under 7k. The good news is that the F10 M5 parts will be able to be swapped onto the X5/X6 M S63 motors and possibly even the N63's. We are happy to see BMW putting extra effort into the motor to differentiate it somewhat making up for doing basically nothing with the 1M motor.
The tuner source that leaked this information is a big name most of you know that has ties inside BMW.
