      This is a good piece of marketing for the BMW performance parts division. BMW took stock cars as well as the same cars equipped with their performance parts to a track in Las Vegas for people to try back to back. The video mostly goes on and on about people saying the difference between the stock cars and the cars with the performance parts is incredible. For people experienced with the BMW aftermarket this video is amusing considering how mild the factory parts offering is. If a guy is impressed by an extra 20 horsepower he needs to try a supercharged M3 or a JB4 335.

        Good marketing, they need to do this on a large scale and get all those suckers who normally buy the base model and then have them test the performance vehicles. I'm sure there will be more performance parts purchased initially rather than never and probably more m-tech packages sold, if it is integrated.

        Yes, but why waste money on the performance parts anyway? It's just a way for BMW to squeeze money out of the aftermarket. You can get better stuff for less money elsewhere.

        Their offering sucks compared to Ford and Chevy yet they are squeezing money out of the aftermarket because they can offer one thing that nobody else can: Leaving the BMW warranty intact.

        BMW doesn't really care, they just want money anyway.

        Exactly, Ford has a real offering. BMW's offering is here is a few more HP + some spoilers and you can keep your warranty you are so scared about while we milk you dry for a new file that costs us nothing.
