      Some will say this guy is a poser, and that may be warranted, but you have to respect the work that went into this recreation. Sure, this car won't have the power, motor, suspension, lightweight parts, brakes, and we could go on, but it looks strikingly similar to the real thing. The body conversion cost about $20,000. The video below depicts the conversion but the first half is just filler with pictures. Skip to the 3:37 mark to see the actual conversion process.

        I tuned a car a year ago that was a silver sl500 converted to black series. It was alot of money - guy owned a bodyshop.

        I respect the work done but this is horrible. These days an SL500 isn't really that fast. He should have spent that 20k on engine mods. Maybe one of these? Click here to enlarge

        Based on what I've been reading, the looks were the best part of the Black Series anyways Click here to enlarge It's unbelievably fast but it's so disappointingly quiet, and I don't even know how that happened considering the regular 65 AMG (like the CL65 AMG I drove last year) has this amazing and fairly loud exhaust roar and almost no turbo noise.

        Nope they aren't that fast any longer (low 14's) but he was clearly interested in the appearance. I respect he work.

        That blower sure is a good way to improve it...
