Vorsteiner has released its new E93 carbon fiber bootlid. They claim it is the lightest trunk available for the E93 although no weight specs have been posted. It uses all the OEM mounting points and there is no interruption in the operation of the hard top. It looks great from the side profile but the integration of the brake light seems to be a bit awkward. No word on pricing.

This is so useless. If you want to save weight, then buy a coupe.
First buying a cabriolet and then save weight is so totally clueless...

Some people like cabs, nothing wrong with lightening them if possible.

Ferrari made a Sucderia cab...

And my point was nothing wrong with lightening a cab (like Ferrari did) even if there is a lighter coupe available

The F430 weighs 70 kg more for the spider.
The M3 puts in 210 kgs more to be able lose the top...
Getting 10kgs off that weight for the bootlid is not gonna impress your performance figures much.

Yes, the coupe is still lighter.

I saw this on their website yesterday and thought the same thing, why!!!!! I only clicked on it because it looked nice, maybe its just the color I am fond of on this e93.
