The new S8 is quite the car. Audi has stepped their game up considerably giving the S8 a twin turbo 513 horsepower 4.0 liter direct injected V8. The engine is mated unfortunately to an 8-speed automatic instead of a dual clutch gearbox which would be preferred from a performance standpoint. Pricing has not been announced although it is likely to be less than the W12 A8 which we now find pointless.

Vettel won Monza in dominate form and moved closer to securing his second driver's championship. Vettel is now ahead of Alonso by 112 points in the standing, just 13 points shy of securing the championship, which he could theortical win in the next race. The race start at Monza like every year did not disappoint, Alonso who started in 4th place stormed past the front 3 to take the lead before the first chicane, while Schumacher, starting 8th blitzed the pack and climbed to 4th place.

Techart will be officially revealing this car in the next few days. They sent out a little teaser press release though it only had one small photo. Techart tunes the motor to 720 horsepower with their powerkit. Additionally, the package includes a body kit and a suspension system with a lifting option. 20 inch Techart Wheels complete the look although we doubt they are all that light. Clearly a choice based on looks. Expect more details soon.

The BMW X6 remains unchallenged in the 4 door "coupe" segment of the SUV market. BMW hit a home run with the car and Audi and Mercedes are scrambling to catch up. That does not mean BMW is satisfied resting on their laurels as the facelift model was spotted testing. The changes will mostly be to the exterior and minor ones with the front and rear lights receiving some minor modification. The real interesting question is if the X6 will be getting the new tri-turbo diesel everyone seems to be talking about.

You may remember that is August we reported that the R8 would be getting a facelift. The German publication Auto Motor Und Sport was able to confirm the changes. The 4.2 liter V8 will be bumped to 450 horsepower and the V10 model will be going up to 560 horsepower. The 6-speed R-tronic will be ditched for a 7 speed dual clutch. Exterior changes to the lights should complete the facelift. Makes those expensive and limited edition GT models seem pointless, doesn't it?

The M3 GT2 race cars are amazing, both from a looks perspective as well as performance. Getting your hands on one of the race cars is pretty much impossible for the vast majority of enthusiasts. Here comes CLP to the rescue with their widebody kit designed to mimic the racecar. Under the hood they also add a G-power supercharger which actually gives you more horsepower than the real race car's naturally aspirated V8. The price for all of this? $97,500.

Here you go, real photos of the Audi A2. Excited about it? Well, we aren't either to be honest especially considering it is doubtful this car will ever make it to the USA. Regardless, this is an all electric car that will no doubt be designed to compete with the BMW i3. Seems the entry level luxury electric vehicle market is already heating up and Audi and BMW are trying to squeeze sales from wherever they can. Good for them, but let's see more products for the enthusiasts.

Seems every major German brand is for some reason intent on introducing more lower priced and entry level models. Not surprising considering the current state of the worldwide economy and how Mercedes wants to surpass both Audi and BMW for the number 1 sales position. We are a bit disappointed Mercedes is choosing to go the front wheel drive route with this car. Why not brand it a Smart? BMW is able to get away with FWD with Mini and Mercedes may be taking the brand a bit too far downscale with this car. Expect the SLA to have a turbocharged 4 cylinder and a DCT transmission available. No word on when it will be available.

So these diesel M5 rumors persist and the car has pretty much been confirmed. However, the horsepower numbers continue to jump all over the place and we do not know what the final output will end up being. Our previous report stated the car would be in the 400 horsepower range with 553 pound-feet of torque. That sounds at least realistic but now various sites are posting that the horsepower numbers are between 500-550 and torque is up to 650 pound-feet.

Ok, we know the new 911 (991) turbo is coming. Porsche has been teasing the new 911 ahead of the official Frankfurt reveal and with the official pictures already available we decided it would be great to take a stab at what the new 911 turbo will look like. Our graphic designer Wild-Speed did a great job with his interpretation showing aggressive vents but not going overboard. The new 911 turbo will no doubt have a PDK gearbox in addition to a slight horsepower bump to the twin flat-6. Check out the pictures.

We would not be able to make this stuff up if we tried. Was it not bad enough that Pacific BMW was asking $40k over sticker for a 1M? How about that their employees abused a 1M they were asking markup for on residential city streets? Well, Pacific BMW seems intent on topping themselves now by refusing to give the owner back his $10k that he paid over sticker. The owner claims that they did not even let him test drive the car because it was a limited edition model. Yet he later saw his car on the internet that he paid markup for being taken for a joyride by some kids Pacific BMW allowed access to it.

Well, the back and forth fight between Audi and Mercedes continues although Audi's dominant 1-2-3 finish this past weekend vaulted them into first place in the standings. Martin Tomczyk helped Audi get back in the drivers seat with his third win of the season. Mattias Ekstrom and Edoardo Mortara were the two other Audi drivers who helped complete Audi's first 1-2-3 sweep of the season. The Audi drivers seemed to do much better in the wet conditions than the Mercedes drivers.

Many of you probably do not know yet that Apex Speed Technology does the tuning for the Singer Porsches. We'll let Apex tell you the story in their own words:

Last week Tim and I went to Cosworth in Torrance, CA to setup and being tuning on the Singer Vehicle Design Porsche 911 motor, using Pectel Engine Management. It was a great project, and we got to work with a lot of really smart people. These days chassis dynos are so common people seem to forget the value of a proper engine dyno. Last week was a good reminder.

The BMW N20 direct injected turbo 4 cylinder is just starting to find its way into production models but that has not stopped Fisker from putting in a big order for them. You know, Fisker, who produces (or more aptly is going to produce) a variety of all electric as well as hybrid vehicles. Fisker and BMW signed an agreement for BMW to supply the motors for the upcoming Fisker Nina which will be a mid-size sedan. Henrik Fisker stated: "The BMW engine was an obvious choice for us, as BMW is known for producing the best and most fuel efficient gasoline engines in the world."

Fabspeed has released two sets of headers for the Porsche 997.2 Carrera and Carrera S. The sport header has an integrated 200 cell cat. The race header is catless. Gains for the sport headers are 12 horsepower at the wheels which is very respectable. No gains were stated for the race headers although if you look at the cat placement on the sport the catless race version should provide a few more horses without that early restriction. Completely bolt in application made with T304 stainless steel.
