Kelleners has recently gotten into producing body kits and wheels with their F10 entry. The rims are actually reasonably priced (for a European BMW tuner) at €397 and nice designs. No pictures of these mounted on any BMW yet. ...

The compact SUV segment is heating up. The Audi Q3 is officially coming late this year with a 2.0T FSI motor. The car will be available in automatic and manual. No telling if it will make it to the United States although with the American public's obsession with SUV's it is a very good bet. No official photos exist yet as the car has not been revealed yet but if it looks like this rendering bring it on. Expect the official unveiling at the Frankfurt Autoshow in September. ...

Hey Mercedes, what happened to all your manly performance decisions as of late? Autocar is reporting that Herbert Kohler, head of Daimler advanced engineering and future mobility, states that future AMG models will incorporate hybrid technology. "In the future AMG will still offer high performance models but there will be hybrids there,” he said. “AMG needs to reduce fuel consumption." We understand the Porsche 918 and the E-cell has them thinking this can work with performance models but all this means to us is the cars will be A LOT heavier necessitating even more powerful motors to equal performance on lighter platforms. ...

This rendering of the F30 was done for Bimmer Magazine by Schulte Design. The E9X platform still has a couple good years left in it but it is on the downward swing. The F30 is coming and if it looks like this rendering that certainly is a good thing. 5 series headlight cues can be seen but we doubt the front bumper of the standard model will be anywhere near as aggressive. The N55 and the new 4 cylinder turbo motor should be the powerplants that launch with it mated to an 8 speed automatic. This is a good interpretation of the future model but we remind, it is just a rendering. ...

UK design house Project Kahn has created a widebody package for the Audi Q7. It obviously consists of wide fenders (duh) as well as modified front and rear bumpers along with the side skirts. The wheels are Kahn designed as well. The interior gets attention with a bunch of badges and lcd screens which are not pictured. Overall, it's different, but it is more for people into "bling" and getting attention over substance. ...

This is a great video that shows a bit about the inner workings of HRE and their wheel philosophy. It also shows just how much weight can be dropped from a car where it counts by going with an HRE performance series wheel. Definitely worth watching! ...

How come Canada is getting the cool stuff? Mercedes has announced that Canada will get the limited C63 AMG Affalterbach edition. What is the difference from the regular C63? Well, for starters, it gets the P31 package as standard. So that means a horsepower bump up to 481, forged pistons and rods, different crank, etc, that is included with the package. The interior gets treated as well with Nappa leather wrapped steering wheel, contrasting stitching, carbon fiber accents, and special edition logos. All this for $81,500 Canadian which used to be about 3 American dollars. Only 30 being made, so hurry! ...

People all around the world have fallen in love with the automobile since it’s creation over 100 years ago. Entire lives have been dedicated and lost to our love for the automobile, and for the feeling that it can give. Anyone who wants to navigate the aftermarket performance industry must have a good understanding of the allure of the sports car and what it’s meant to humans since its invention. It’s always easy to spot those in the business who do not have a genuine love for cars, as their misguided intentions will always reveal themselves in the way they create their own project cars. ...

The Germany Magazine AutoBild has compared the TT-RS to the Audi RS5. We are a bit surprised with the results as they show the TT-RS as blazing fast running through 402 meters which is a 1/4 mile in 12.2 seconds. That, is very, very fast and faster than the RS5 which has more power although is much heavier. Both cars use DSG transmissions which may account for the great times. Still, the TT-RS does 0-100 mph in under 10 seconds which makes it quite quick as well as out accelerating the RS5 in every test. We must say we are very, very impressed and hope these numbers can be replicated. ...

Autoweek recently tested the new CLS 63 AMG. We have been waiting to see numbers out of this motor and now we have something to go on: 12.1@121.5. Now, it is important to note this was achieved with their test equipment. This most likely means something like a VBOX which inflates trap speeds. However, the test was done at 4000 feet elevation which will have an effect even on turbo motors. This was also the standard version without the performance package which ups power to around 550 horsepower. What this means is these cars will run 11's out of the box and the performance package will likely be trapping over 125 mph. With a tune... well, things are going to get very interesting indeed. ...

The BMW X1 is already available for sale around the globe. It was supposed to be available in the largest market for the SUV, the United States, in the beginning of this year. Strong demand has the factory in Europe at full capacity. Unlike the X3, X5, and X6 built in the United States the X1 is built in Germany likely because it has far more in common with the chassis of the regular cars instead of the SUV's. If sales continue to be strong, it may even be delayed further than the fall. ...

Well, here is another M156 / 63 AMG supercharger setup. This one comes from Xtra Power (creative name, eh?) who we have never heard of. There are no boost numbers or pricing details given. The only details provided are that this puts out 660 horsepower with 595 pound-feet of torque and is available for all 63 AMG models. They also state that more horsepower is available with aftermarket cams and headers although no details on their cams or headers are provided. Is this legit? We do not know, but the forced induction scene for the M156 sure is heating up. ...
