This video is in German but the video speaks for itself and just is ridiculously cool. GRIP took a MAN racing truck and pitted it against a C63 AMG on the road course for an atypical comparison. What is amazing in all of this is just how fast this race truck is! There is a part in the video where you see the truck coming up behind the C63 and we can imagine would it be like to have that monster in your rear view mirror. Intimidating, to say the least. Check out the video and skip to the 10:50 mark for the good head to head action after you see the drift in the beginning. ...Published on 06-04-2011 08:01 PM

These photos and videos come from PorscheBoost member scrotiemcboogerballs (yes, it's ok to laugh). This comes hot on the heals of the information that the 911 is getting a 7 speed and the Boxster is getting a 4 cylinder. What is interesting to note is that Porsche is already testing the 911 turbo and that both the Boxster and Turbo appear with 20 inch wheels which it looks like they may be standard on the 991 turbo. The 911 is set to be revealed in September, in the meantime, enjoy the spy pictures and video. ...Published on 06-04-2011 02:51 AM
Some readers may remember (hey, we believe in you guys) that Audi released the R8 GT coupe a few months back. Well this is the convertible version, also limited to 333 units. The car is just under 190 pounds lighter than the standard V10 Spyder. It also gets a power bump just like the coupe, 560 horses. No idea how much money it is but considering the coupe starts at $198,000, this is not going to be cheaper. ...Published on 06-03-2011 09:53 PM
This review was done by Former_Boosted_IS who sent it to BimmerBoost.
The process of modding my car started with performance mods and has worked into many of the cosmetic mods lately. This is the latest of one of those cosmetic mods. I did not like the aggressiveness of the stock bumper at all, so I decided to move onto a M-TECH bumper from BMW. Since BMW allows you to order the bumper without the rear diffuser, I chose that option knowing I would go with a CF rear diffuser. ...Published on 06-03-2011 06:10 PM
Turns out the photo leaked early was not a joke. There is going to be a lot of controversy over this design, that is for sure. There will be a plethora of diesel models in Europe but what is interesting is the car is getting the new turbo four cylinder N20 motor putting our 247 horses. A sedan and coupe version have not been confirmed so it may be that the US will get the hatchback and the coupe/sedan will be the rumored 2 series. ...Published on 06-03-2011 10:03 AM
The Aston Martin Virage is the new GT in the Aston range designed to sit between the DB9 and DBS. The car has a 6.0 liter V12 putting out 490 horsepower. Auto Express, British auto-journalists, decided to compare it to the SLS AMG. We mentioned they were British for a reason, as they pick the Aston over the SLS, big surprise. Why? Well, actually they say they pick it because of the interior and because it is an Aston Martin. Seriously guys? The SLS as a performance car is lightyears ahead of the Virage sporting the tired old V12. The DBS isn't a match for the SLS, and neither is the lower performance Virage. ...Published on 06-03-2011 12:03 AM
Ok, so this is a 1:12th scale Unimog and not the real thing. Still, this is the closest Americans can get to the Unimog and that isn't all bad. To commemorate the 60th birthday of the Unimog, Mercedes and LEGO teamed up to make this model. This is a LEGO Technic model, which means not for children under 10 or even some adults we know, so a more complex set. And more complexity is fine because that means the Unimog set comes with a fully functional pneumatic gripper arm. We are accepting Unimog sets to "test" if anyone from LEGO is reading... ...Published on 06-02-2011 11:10 PM
This is a commemorative livery for the number 80 and 81 Flying Lizard Porsches which will be racing at the 24 hours of LeMans June 11-12. A California artist named Troy Lee created the design which celebrated the 28 drivers who have won the race overall for Porsche. The design looks awesome and these will gorgeous cutting through the tough field at LeMans. ...Published on 06-02-2011 08:41 PM
This is a new commercial from Audi for their newly released C7 A6 avant. Watch the commercial and listen closely, notice any similarities? Audi seems to have taken a bit of liberty in sampling the music as it sounds remarkably similar to the Eminem song we all know and love. It's fairly blatant, so we don't understand what Audi was thinking but the music publisher is already seeking an injunction in Germany and this will likely get messy. ...Published on 06-02-2011 06:52 AM
We hate car thieves and have absolutely no problem with extreme security systems that punish them when they attempt to steal a car. This one is a little bit different and leaves a bit of a mess but definitely teaches a lesson. Warning, if you are a bit squeamish or the sight of blood makes you woozy you might want to skip this video. You have been warned. ...Published on 06-02-2011 05:57 AM
This is the new front wheel drive BMW that is coming. It was spotted testing with a mule for the 2013 Mini Cooper. This car will share that Mini's platform but be branded as a BMW. We know, it's tough to keep up with all the models BMW is trying to squeeze in. This car is supposed to come in below the 1 series which mean, what will they call it? The 0 series? The 1/2 series? We know an easy way to solve the problem, don't build it and leave FWD to Mini. ...Published on 06-02-2011 02:50 AM
Autocar has confirmed that the Audi R4 will be coming to market in the next few years. Audi chairman Rupert Stadler reportedly approved the plans for Audi to share the platform with the two other VW group makes, Porsche and Volkswagen. Pricing converted directly from the quoted 25k British Pounds is $40,000. The motor would almost certainly be the 2.0T four cylinder but the TT-RS turbo 5 cylinder may find its way in. ...Published on 06-02-2011 02:43 AM
The vehicle here used in the baseline is a stock motor 997 C4S on 91 octane. It does have 19 inch HRE wheels and lowering springs. The car was dyno'd first without any changes and then the AWE-Tuning exhaust and headers were added. After that, OE Tuning did their custom dyno tune. The car gained 18.4 whp from the baseline. Remember, these gains are at all 4 wheels on a dyno dynamics dyno in case you are wondering why a Carrera 4S is not putting out more. It is also a tiptronic transmission which you can see shift in the dyno and the trans does suck a bit of power. ...Published on 06-01-2011 06:56 PM
You all may recall that RennTech set the overall MB 1/4 mile record of 10.27@137 a couple months back. We were given a mod list by the owner SGC and Renntech of drag radials, higher stall torque converter, limited slip diff, custom exhaust, modified intercooler, carbon ceramic brakes, and race gas only tune. We couldn't understand how this car on stock turbos was trapping so much higher than other M275 V12 twin turbo cars. It would seem the answer is nitrous as a video has popped up showing the lines in the engine bay, check it out yourself. ...Published on 06-01-2011 06:18 AM
This is the information that ESS Tuning threatened BimmerBoost with legal action over. Some of you may remember that last year we reported the RDsport motor supercharged and tuned by ESS failed. Asbjorn then proceeded to write threats against myself and my family if the information was not removed. BimmerBoost did not remove the information and called their bluff. We have acquired the evidence to prove the motor failed and that it was a result of the supercharger and tuning. ...Published on 06-01-2011 03:04 AM
We're hoping this is some kind of mistake but it appears that Auto Bild in a preview of their upcoming issue has revealed the F20 1 series design ahead of schedule. The front is, well, ever hear the saying a face only a mother could love? BMW seems to be mimicking some Audi headlight aspects in this design although it looks a bit clumsy in its execution. This could be nothing and we do not have official photos yet but Auto Bild is reporting this as the new F20 1 series. ...Published on 06-01-2011 02:27 AM
BMW released a new video of the F10 M5 doing some high speed testing. The video isn't too exciting to be honest but shows the M5 hitting some high speeds. The most interesting part is the driver sipping coffee at high speed, yep, exciting. Every site seems to be making this front page news as is customary whenever BMW releases anything, no matter if it's worthy, but what we found interesting is they seem to be hinting at a reveal of the car at the M-Festival. This is a festival in Germany organized by BMW during the 24 hour Nurburgring race which will take place on June 23-26. ...Published on 06-01-2011 01:19 AM
This report has been confirmed by Car and Driver. We are all used to seeing 7 speed dual clutch and automatic transmissions, some even going up to 8, but no traditional manual transmissions on the market for sports cars have 7 forward gears. That will all change with the next generation Porsche 911. We are happy to see Porsche catering to the enthusiast and not abandoning the manual gearbox as so many others are doing. Expect to see further details when the new model is revealed in September at the Frankfurt auto show. ...Published on 06-01-2011 12:41 AM
A Mercedes-Benz AMG inside source has confirmed the M156 V8 in a higher state of tune will be used in the C63 AMG Black Series. MotorAuthority and InsideLine who reported they confirmed an M157 twin turbo V8 would be used were wrong. It would appear P31 or SLS forged engine internals will be standard. It will not be an M159 (SLS motor) but will likely share similarities such as the heads but not the SLS intake manifold or airboxes due to not being able to fit in the C engine bay. Base price is expected to be $100k. ...
