A French BMW blog decided to render their take on what an E84 X1 M would look like. The rendering obviously looks better than the real deal but the idea of an X1M is not really our cup of tea. Will it happen? Well, the X1 is very hot at the moment with demand far outstripping supply. As a matter of fact, BMW can not produce enough to even bring the car to the USA. What motor would this car get if produced? Likely a higher horsepower version of the N20 turbo 4 cylinder putting it somewhere in the 340 horsepower range. Will it happen? Time will tell but expect an X3M first.

This is the Eisenmann race exhaust for the E89 Z4 featuring the N54 twin turbo 6 cylinder. The exhaust features 4 x 76 millimeter tips for a very aggressive look. In the video, a 3d Design rear diffuser accentuates the exhaust nicely making for a much meaner looking tail than what is from the factory. Pricing information will be available soon but for now enjoy the sound of the exhaust in the videos below and the exhaust can ordered through our vendor IND-Distribution.

The Belgium GP has always thrilled everyone and this years race solidifies that notion. From Senna's crash at the beginning to Schumacher starting last and finishing 5th. Mercedes GP started strong with Rosberg moving from 5th place to overtake Vettel and take 1st place at the end of Spa's straight away and last place Schumacher finished the first lap in 15th place. Like every race though, Mercedes GP began to lose it's overall race pace to Redbull and Mclaren and saw Rosberg fall to 5th place. With 3 laps left, Michael Schumacher with soft tires and DRS stormed past Rosberg on the harder compound on the straight away to claim 5th place.

Ok, the Porsche 911 was revealed officially just a couple days ago. You all saw the pictures and specifications. Porsche has now released the official preview video for the new 911. The car looks and sounds great. LED's in the front bumper are becoming a bit played out but they work well with the car. The side profile of the car is much sleeker and the rear of the car is obviously a huge improvement. Expect more after the official public reveal in Frankfurt next month.

Finally after a long month break, F1 returns to one of the if not the best circuit in racing: Spa-Francorchamps. The mix of long straights and fast corners, combined with a picturesque setting and notoriously changeable weather keeps it at the top of both drivers and spectators favourite circuits. Part of the magic of Spa is that it is known and respected as one of the most challenging in the world, and to prove that fact only six drivers have managed to win the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa more than twice: Juan Manual Fangio and Damon Hill both have three wins to their name, Jim Clark and Kimi Raikkonen managed one better with four wins and Ayrton Senna won the race five times. The undisputed Spa master though, is Michael Schumacher who has won a record six times. This race is especially sepecial for him. Spa marks Michael's 20th year in F1 having made his debut in the 1991 Belguim GP.

Well, here it is, the new B-class. Not exactly the most anticipated model for performance enthusiasts but it is a new Mercedes vehicle. The styling inside and out is fairly nice but it does not really matter as we will not be getting it here in the USA. Car is built for efficiency anyway with a .26 drag coefficient and 122/156 horsepower 4 cylinder motors available. Would be nice to get this over to the US, or make a version with a V8, but for now we are not shedding tears over this car.

Here is a nice little teaser vid from BMWUSA showing the M5 doing what an M-car should be doing, lapping an awesome roadcourse. Not an earth shattering video by any means but we are going to keep getting trickles of M5 content like this from BMW which people want to see. The car sounds pretty good but the S85 V10 in the previous model gave out tones that were much more fitting and enjoyable. Check out the vid below.

No surprise that Techart was going to release a bunch of body pieces of for the new 958 Cayenne. This is the entry level kit so to speak and the no doubt ostentatious "Magnum" kit will be revealed in Frankfurt. This Type I kit features a 3 piece front spoiler with integrated LED's. It also functions as a daytime running light system. Side skirts are also featured in the kit along with a new rear apron and roof spoiler. The material used for the body pieces is polyurethane. Techart wheels are also available in sizes up to 23 inches to complete the look.

This is simply a little teaser but we had to report on it as there have not been too many S65 swaps that we have seen. In addition, swaps that are then boosted. That is exactly what Active Autowerke is attempting to do with this widebody E36. Will they pull it off? It's Active, so we doubt they would be teasing if they did not intend to back it up. How far along this is we do not know and they have not released any other details other than a photo of the S65 in the E36 engine bay and publicly stating their intention to boost it.

This was quite interesting to see. BimmerBoost members BoostAddict ran a stock B8 S4 in his modified E90 335i with a 6 speed manual. His mod list is as follows: JB4 Map 1, DCI, and VK downpipes. He also had a 230 pound passenger. The 2011 S4 is a 6 speed manual that is completely stock. The runs were certainly closer than BoostAddict expected and the S4 performs well and clearly is a strong car. Looks like the 335 needs some race gas or meth, especially if the S4 owner decides to mod his ride.

Here is a new widebody option for W204 C63 AMG cars. A very well priced and attractive option considering the pricing will be somewhere in the $5000 range. The body kit is all steel, no carbon reinforced plastic or anything like that. One can go to up to 355 rear tires in back. Considering what some of the C63 AMG's are putting out power wise, being able to go that wide should mitigate some traction issues. In order to get this kit one has to send their car to Orlando, Florida.

Well, it seems Porsche could not wait until the Frankfurt Auto Show and decided to reveal the brand new 2012 Porsche 911 early. Nothing wrong with that and we certainly do not mind. The new car looks great, sleeker, and more modern. The front really isn't all that different which is not surprising considering the uproar when Porsche goes too far switching away from the classic circular headlights. The tail looks very edgy and modern now though, definitely a step forward. The side profile is also more aggressive.

This information comes courtesy of BMWblog. They are reporting that the X1 is indefinitely postponed after speaking with sources at a BMW event. We may not get the car here until 2013 if then. There simply is very high demand for the vehicle and the original delay dealt with production capacity. Frankly, we aren't all too upset about this as the X1 is not something we were really excited about. However, we like for the US market to get all BMW vehicles. Interestingly enough, the car is for sale in Canada.

This past weekend BenzBoost members ecampbell and jrcart went for a test and tune at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway dragstrip. BenzBoost was in attendance thanks to a generous invitation from ecampbell and Weistec was also present with Steve Atneyel and Michael Weiss. We were a bit a surprised that Earl (ecampbell) and Jim (jrcart) wanted to run in the middle of the summer with insanely hot temps in Vegas. When driving in, the temperature readout in our car showed 108 degrees at 6:15 PM. Not exactly weather for setting records.

Here it finally is folks, the new 2012 SLK55 AMG. The car has a 422 horsepower 5.5 liter V8 which is naturally aspirated. The motor also features cylinder deactivation technology. It would seem Mercedes did not want the SLK stepping on any of its big brothers toes so it developed this new V8 specifically for the SLK55 . Expect more details and higher resolution photos after the Frankfurt Auto Show where the SLK55 will be officially revealed but for now enjoy this first set of photos.

The GT45 wouldn't fit in the limited space that's available in the M3. We are now trying the highly recommended Precision 8285. We have a mysterious 4,500rpm rev limiter with the ProEFI that comes and goes that we can't seem to track down. There is no on-board logger so we are trying to get some other software to work on our computer so we can look at the logs. However... we downloaded the software for $30 and that software doesn't seem to let us look at the logs. Help!! So we may switch back to the AEM again to try and get some dyno numbers out of this new turbo unless ProEFI can help us get through these issues.

Congratulations to davidtm5 for his record breaking 1/4 mile run. David has an E36 with a built S52 motor running a giant GTX 42 turbo along with Bavarian Solutions cams. Car has hit in the mid 900's to the wheels (so over 1000 crank horsepower) at about 37 psi. Simply a beast and this was proven with a record setting 9.0 second 1/4 mile run in the middle of the Summer. Records just continue to fall and the bar keeps getting raised. The first 8 second 1/4 mile pass for a street BMW? Just around the corner.

Got my baseline dyno last week and went and got my tune from Eurorev/Singh autosport on fri. Car feels great..went on few runs up to 165mph and it was pulling like a freight train. I'm very happy with the tune and it drives like stock except when you stomp on it. Been modding cars long enough to know it was best to take to independent dyno shop and i'm very pleased with result. Coming from PTT, W212 E63, C 63 and E60 M5..this is by far the best and fastest car i've own! BTW this same dyno did a 2012 S63 with Performance Pkg and it was 537 rwhp and 611 tq which was published on Insideline.com. This show you the potential of the M157.

Boris, also known as djborya on the forums, has raised the bar again. He previously set overall the 60-130 in October 2010 being the first BMW to dip into the 4's for 60-130 runs. This record was later broken by Mert with a 4.49 60-130 earlier this year. We are happy to say that the bar has been raised once again and Boris has taken the record back with a 60-130 run of 4.2 seconds which was done during a 1/4 mile pass. Specs on the car are an E30 with an M3 widebody, built S52, and a gigantic 80 mm turbo among other things. Congratulations Boris!
